The Management Board of Photon Energy a.s. announces that on 16 December 2008 the company became a founding member of Alpensolar Einkauf GmbH, which will coordinate the procurement of photovoltaic panels and other components for photovoltaic installations for the premium partners of the German roof exchange. As the license holder for the analogous roof exchange in the Czech Republic Photon Energy a.s. was invited to participate as a pro-rata investor. Alpensolar Einkauf GmbH was established by 17 founding members each of which subscribed to EUR 10,000 of base capital so that the registered capital of the company will be EUR 170,000. Alpensolar Einkauf GmbH is a limited liability company established under German law with its registered office in Dietmannsried. The company's primary function is to bundle the combined photovoltaic installation volume of its members (in 2008 exceeding 20 MWp) with the objective of achieving lower procurement costs for its members. Photon Energy's equity stake in Alpensolar Einkauf GmbH is 5.88%. No member of Photon Energy's Management or Supervisory Boards are involved with the management of or members of the board of Alpensolar Einkauf GmbH. This investment will allow Photon Energy to procure photovoltaic panels and other components at highly advantageous conditions and supports the company's strategy to diversify its procurement sources.
